Recapitulating the Devil’s Pact

In December 2019, Robert Abela launched his campaign for the leadership of the Labour Party with a theatrical stunt by saying in a cabinet meeting that Joseph Muscat was cheated by Keith Schembri, more specifically that “cuck”, and that he (Robert Abela) would not make a Devil’s Pact with him.

Robert Abela’s comment was aimed at the Labour Party audience and was meant to smear Chris Fearne and Ian Borg. Ian Borg then supported Chris Fearne for his leadership campaign.

Before the leadership campaign started, Joseph Muscat met with Robert Abela and Chris Fearne separately and asked them both to provide him immunity from the law in exchange of his support for their leadership campaign. Robert Abela accepted this deal. Chris Fearne refused.

Robert Abela went on to win the leadership race of the Labour Party with Joseph Muscat’s backing. Then Robert Abela provided Joseph Muscat immunity from the law by  appointing Angelo Gafa as Police Commissioner and Victoria Buttigieg as Attorney-General – both of whom are expressly pressured by Robert Abela not to arrest and investigate Joseph Muscat.

Joseph Muscat also used a foreign pseudo-intelligence company to smear Chris Fearne.
