Yesterday, during the meeting convened by Supreme Leader with his MPs and executive committee, the Prime Minister was in “listening mode”. He announced a change of Party leadership with Party deputy-leadership elections as the Deputy-Leader for Party Affairs Daniel Micallef resigned. The executive committee will change as well, and this means that President Ramona Attard will be replaced.
During the meeting, Robert Abela listened to his ministers and MPs in a rare exercise of democracy. However, these gimmicks do nothing to hide the fact that MPs are now more ready to face their own leader. Robert Abela’s paranoia is now higher than ever as he suspects he is being blamed for the Labour Party’s disaster at the polls – which is true.
