This is Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. When he is not conjuring Orwellian discourse by for example accusing government critics of “hatred”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is in the business of sending infantile and idiotic messages at a time when leadership is desperately needed.
We are in the middle of an international crisis and an ongoing war in Europe and our leaders exhibit the mentality and the logic of teenagers.
Elections are coming up and it is time to get the adults back in the room. Five more years of this and no one will ever take us seriously again.
