Labour got 8,200 less votes in this election

In the 2017 general election, Labour got a total of 170,976 votes. In this general election, Labour has received in total  162,707 votes. That means more than 8,200 votes less with nearly a 5% difference.

Let that sink in. Labour will try and look invincible with a hat-trick of electoral victories, but the reality is that Labour’s largesse has hit the top during Muscat’s tenure and the tide is slowly turning.

    When one also considers the rise in the population and the extension of the vote to 16 and 17-year-olds the performance is presumably even less impressive.
