I doubt there has ever been a book in local Maltese history which has been hated as much as ĠAĦAN FL-AQWA ŻMIEN. It’s interesting to see the sociological phenomenon of the sub-literate Ġaħan going out online to hate a book and an author without ever reading them – not that they are capable of reading anyway. Most of them come from the lumpenproletariat – that kind of people who find themselves as customer care agents in a Ministry. Their only means of knowledge and information is Labour propaganda which is mainly ONE and public broadcasting. Hilarious and fascinating at the same time.
