I can’t even make these things up as Robert Abela writes his own satire. Apparently, Robert Abela (Malta’s Prime Minister, by the way), invited the cast of the state-sponsored TV programme, Love Island Malta to have lunch with his daughter and his wife. The lunch seems to have taken place at the Girgenti Palace – a property owned by the state which is used by the Prime Minister to host official events.
I’m sure they think it’s all fun and games, and it’s true. It’s all fun and games with a little bit of abuse of power here and there and it’s all very harmless. But that’s the problem, that for Robert Abela governing the country is all fun and games and heย is not a serious person.
