Contractors allege that Kurt Buhagiar acts as a front to Robert Vella (LANDS CEO)

A good indicator that the government is losing its support is when building contractors who would conveniently and opportunistically be pro-government begin showing public signs of discontent.

Today, I received several unusual calls and messages from different people, all of whom were giving me several leads, stories and information. Some of these were building contractors who have good relationships with the government and they have all told me that Kurt Buhagiar acts as a front of Robert Vella, LANDS CEO, who apparently, was also a case officer at the Planning Authority.

Robert Vella seems to be well known in the construction industry and they all describe him as Robert Abela’s friend and Silvio Schembri’s ally. These contractors who spoke to me in confidence also allege among other things, that Robert Vella fixed the corrupt deal in which GAP got public land at a discount in Mellie?a on the behest of Silvio Schembri.

I have also acquired a set of metadata that attempts to link Robert Vella and Kurt Buhagiar and the online metadata shows that both of them may have been involved in applying for EU funds for a farmhouse project. I could not confirm the location of this farmhouse but it may potentially be either in Mosta or Qrendi.
