Last Monday Clyde Caruana scuffled with Robert Abela

Who would win in a physical fight between Robert Abela And Clyde Caruana? Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen.

Last Monday Clyde Caruana and Robert Abela scuffled together during a Cabinet meeting after Clyde Caruana felt that he wasn’t being respected. A heated argument between them ended up in a fistfight as other fellow cabinet members had to separate them.

Clyde Caruana has spent most of his time as Minister for Finances preaching platitudes and the value of austerity while his colleagues splurged on hundreds of millions of Euros in corrupt contracts and excesses. Robert Abela is also losing support from the delegates and his fellow MPs and a rebellion is fomenting.

It seems like Clyde Caruana has had enough.

This is wild if true! On a scale of 1 to 10, how reliable is your source on this scoop?

  3. This is news and not speculation. I don’t discuss my sources.

      Appreciate that, keep it up!

  4. Wasn’t Clyde Caruana the architect of fast GDP growth through ‘get-rich quick’ scheme of population growth without an underlying improvement in infrastructure and without any long term plan?

Wasn’t Clyde Caruana the architect of uncontrolled taxpayer-funded energy subsides across the board, including to rich people, people with yachts, people with mega villas, tourists, and all people who could afford higher energy bills? Instead of limiting this subsidy to the average worker and lower middle class.

Enough said. This Clyde Caruana has no credibility.

This clyde Caruana is the UNELECTED person who wants to flood the Maltese Islands with a population of 800K – A population imported by the government from the East (India, Pakistan etc) – Isn’t this high treason in the making?!

Actually no – he said that maintaining the current model Malta would end up with a population of 800k and that we therefore need to reassess that model:

“Malta?s population will have to balloon to 800,000 over the next 17 years if the country is to keep its economy growing at the current rate, unless a new economic model is devised, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana has warned.

Caruana argued that the country needs to overhaul its economic model if it wants to remain competitive in the face of local and international challenges.”

Clyde Caruana is currently labour’s best bet from amongst the worse dysfunctional cabinet Labour has ever had. He will not make it till the next general election. Now that Labour’s composure has been shattered and hemorrhaging votes, doubts are hitting home whether Labour can survive the next general elections. So expect the feeding frenzy by the sharks and friends to intensify and the government’s debt to increase alarmingly during these coming years. It will be foolish of Clyde to sit at the helm of Malta’s finances and be held accountable under such circumstances.
