Breaking: A magisterial inquiry will be opened on Christian Borg and his money laundering practices

A Maltese court has accepted the request of Jason Azzopardi, the lawyer to the plaintiffs suing No Deposit Cars (Christian Borg’s company), to open a magisterial inquiry on Christian Borg. The magisterial inquiry will delve into Christian Borg’s money laundering activities and potentially also the origins of his wealth.

Christian Borg is a previous drug dealer who washed his money in a car-leasing business and has a history with Prime Minister Robert Abela. Robert Abela conducted an insider trading deal with Christian Borg back when he was still a lawyer to the Planning Authority where Christian Borg transferred a land parcel to Robert Abela and Robert held the land in his name until development permits were issued for it. He then sold the land to Christian Borg again for a profit.

  6. […] Christian Borg, the well-known cocaine dealer and money-laundering client of Prime Minister Robert Abela is probably Malta’s most protected hardened criminal. Christian Borg can move and trade his assets and engage in whatever financial activity he likes while the police have a case against him that so far has been prevented from going to court by the Attorney General herself. While the Attorney General blocks a case against Christian Borg from seeing the light of day, the government is rushing further to his aid by removing the prosecutor’s ability to freeze all assets of a suspected criminal.
