Malta is currently facing a mental health crisis with a rise in mental health patients and a lack of public infrastructure to cater to their health needs.
One of Malta’s most important public officials in the mental health sector is the CEO of Mount Carmel, the public health hospital, and its CEO is Stephanie Xuereb, wife of David Xuereb who is also currently a subject on this website. Stephanie Xuereb who has no experience in the mental health sector has been foisted upon the Health Minister, Chris Fearne by Robert Abela himself. David Xuereb is of course a “friend” to the Prime Minister but David’s and his wife’s friendship with the Labour Party leader precedes even Robert Abela.
Here in the photo above is Stephanie Xuereb in her role as Director of the Cervical Screening Unit at Mater Dei with Michelle Muscat at a press event for the Marigold Foundation. It’s not surprising that the wrong people will always consistently appear with the wrong people again. It’s not by accident.
