Thank God for upright members of the judiciary who by their own mere existence provide us with hope that not all is not lost in the Mafia State.
Judge Audrey Demicoli canceled her plans to attend the Gladiator film-set visit as soon as she realised what it was all about. This is very good news and reflects her good standing and serious character.
Other members of the judiciary who attended the highly irregular visit are Joanne Vella Cuschieri, Toni Abela, Wenzu Mintoff, Nadine Lia, Consuelo Scerri Herrera, and of course, Donatella Frendo Dimech.
I knew there was something very bizarre when I noticed the court notice of Judge Demicoli’s absence. Judge Demicoli is a very discrete, uptight, religious conservative and is rarely seen out in public. It would have been greatly disappointing if the nation would lose another member of the judiciary to this government’s corruption.
