Why is Joseph Muscat working with Vince Marmara?

It’s interesting to see Vincent Marmara collaborating with Joseph Muscat on economic forecasting. Joseph Muscat may finally be getting somewhere in obtaining renewed political legitimacy thanks to allies who do not mind being associated with him in public.

After the Labour Party refused to entertain Michelle Muscat’s request to contest the MEP elections on the Labour Party ticket, Joseph Muscat plans to launch a comeback in the Labour Party. He is collecting allies, holding meetings with individuals, and seeking support, something which he has been doing for some time now that he knows that he will be indicted over corruption by an ongoing magisterial inquiry over bribes he took from the public hospitals deal.

Of course, those related to the political field like Vince Marmara who are associating themselves with Joseph Muscat in public, are fully and well aware that Muscat wants their association for political ends more than for doing business. Muscat doesn’t need Vince Marmara to do business – he has plenty of bribes, “consultancies” and shady connections that can keep him going.

Joseph Muscat is planning a return to politics and he is trying to build his opening for a comeback.
