Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa has successfully conducted one of the biggest criminal cover-ups in our history. Post-2019 political crisis, the priority of the Maltese state should have been to restore the rule of law, clamp down on the criminal elements of the state and fight organised crime. Angelo Gafa did the opposite. Not only rule of law has got worse since 2019, and we live more than ever in a state of jungle rules and total impunity for organised and political criminals, but we have literal hard criminals who are free because they enjoy the direct protection of the Prime Minister himself.
I have no qualms in saying that Angelo Gafa is total scum because corrupt police officers are worse than criminals themselves, but this is not just my personal sentiment. Throughout history, treason has always been considered to be one of the worst crimes possible, often punished by death. A police officer who cuts deals with criminals and covers up for them is committing treason against the state and the whole society he is meant to protect. A criminal may murder and hurt one or several people. A Police Commissioner who protects criminals damages the state and hurts all of us collectively.
During the past two days, I have been in court with my impeccable lawyer Joseph Mizzi trying to explain why and how Rosianne Cutajar is corrupt. So far, not only has Rosianne Cutajar been protected by the police, but they have also allowed her to open a vexatious case against me. The same high-ranking police official who was supposedly responsible for making sure that the police take definite action on reports of domestic violence and threats against women, a failure that led to the murder of Bernice Cassar, has expressly and immediately approved criminal proceedings against me on Rosianne’s report alleging that I have “threatened her”. Allow me to introduce you to Dennis Theuma, Police Assistant Commissioner with a career history of joint-hunting, that is over-zealously pursuing and hunting teenagers who smoked marijuana. I can confirm that Dennis Theumas has been a very successful joint-hunter in his career, but contrastingly, he seems to be incapable of putting up a fight against political criminals.
Rosianne Cutajar is only one of the many politicians who has been protected and covered up by the police. And Rosianne, like Joseph Muscat and all others, is facing just a little bit of justice not thanks to the police. In the absence of a police force that is fighting corruption and organised crime, civil society has taken up the task of restoring the rule of law. We are basically, fighting organised crime ourselves: unarmed citizens with very few resources fighting multi-millionaires who have the full backing of the government and many elements of the state. The cases initiated against Keith Schembri, Brian Tonna, and the ongoing magisterial inquiry on Joseph Muscat have all been originally initiated by reports submitted by MPs from the Nationalist Party. The police have made so far, no contribution whatsoever for this fight.
So, this is the plan. If I win the libel case that Rosianne Cutajar has instituted against me this would mean that my claims that Rosianne Cutajar committed a crime are substantiated. Following this legal case, I will then be proceeding to make an official complaint similar to the ones made by Nationalist MPs on other corrupt politicians, to have Rosianne Cutajar prosecuted by the police. If in that case, the police fail to act, I will pursue cases against the police.
The Labour Party is a criminal organisation. Any official member or servant of the state who is abetting and covering up for criminals has to be tried accordingly. And yes, this is not a game. Take this very, very seriously.
