No wonder Alf Mizzi & Sons can do whatever they want including muscling in on small retailers to keep their monopoly pushing food prices up as a result.
The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority is staffed by incompetent Labour tools such as Matthew Chetcuti and Natalia Muscat who have got their jobs only thanks to their loyalty to Robert Abela. A quick look at the composition of the authority’s board also includes several Labour tools such as Lynn Faure and the chairperson doesn’t seem to have any experience at all in competition and industrial matters before taking on her post.
Just a case of an (intentionally) dysfunctional regulatory institution.
