Yesterday, Silvio Grixti was interrogated by the police over the social benefits racket, but the police are supposed to be executing the law without fear or favor and not conducting police work that strictly satisfies the express wishes of the Prime Minister. The coordinator of the social benefits racket from the Office of the Prime Minister, Sonya Abela, continues to be employed by the government and has not faced any police investigation.
Her role in the government is still the same: using public resources and her position to grift and facilitate vote-buying schemes for the Labour Party. As of recently, she is making use of her job in the Ministry of Local Government under Alison Zerafa Civelli’s remit (the Prime Minister’s sister-in-law), to find jobs for Labour constituents. Apparently, she is even sending out these emails unsolicited to employers who never approved to have their personal data used in this manner.
