Of all things that Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa is complaining about is the hearsay that is being published about him. Well, some of us are more concerned about how Gafa is allowing Joseph Muscat and his criminal associates to get away with it over multiple corruption cases. Gafa may think that our nation’s history should factor in his interests, wants, and needs including his career aspirations. So far, he has done just that, to serve and fulfill the criminal interests of the Prime Minister and Joseph Muscat.
Here’s something that is not hearsay about Angelo Gafa and that the public has the right to know. Angelo Gafa has been initiated as Police Commissioner for being a trusted Labourite. He himself used to tell others he was a “Mintoffian” (I’m laughing dead on the floor on this one). He’s also a close friend of Ivan Calleja of the Convenience Store, so much so that Gafa used to attend parties hosted by Ivan Calleja when Gafa was still CEO of the Police and Gafa’s wife even nominated Ivan Calleja as employer of the year. What’s interesting and very particular, is that one of Ivan Calleja’s business partners is Kevin Deguara, who served at one point time as a lawyer to Vitals.
Of course, this is circumstantial, but it’s good to know in the context of unashamed and gross police inaction over one of Malta’s biggest fraudulent and most corrupt deals in history as the Opposition successfully produces criminal conditions by the courts while the police sleep through this and many other corruption cases.
