The Arab League is doing exceptionally well in normalising authoritarian murderers in the Arab world through the normalisation of its relations with Bashar al-Assad. Bashar al-Assad is in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for an emergency Arab League Summit on the war in Gaza. Apparently, Qatar Emir’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is beginning to resign himself to Assad’s rehabilitation, but that’s probably because he has bigger problems to address right now, such as explaining to the world how and why he homes and sponsors Hamas, a designated terrorist organisation.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is also expected to attend the summit, and he can also explain to his Arabic friends how and why Iran is cajoling Hamas to perpetuate a suicidal war they can not win and that is ultimately and mostly hurting the Palestinian people.
It’s like a gang of criminal butchers who give permission to each other to massacre Arabs but are against anyone else from the outside such as Israel that breaches their monopoly on this practice.
