Earlier this year Chanpeng Zhao of Binance told his followers to repeat “4” whenever someone “FUDs” Binance with fake news.

A news item on Bloomberg has announced that the Department of Justice is seeking $4 billion in fines from Binance in exchange for ending ongoing investigations on money laundering activity on its exchange.

A fine of that magnitude would deplete a significant chunk of Binance’s reserves, potentially forcing them to sell their Tether holdings.
