There have been plenty of Nationalist Party MPs and officials who have taken advantage of their position in the party to leverage their own selling-out to the Labour Party. These turncoats all have had close connections with the Labour Party which eventually made use of them. Rebekah Borg Cilia seems to be building up her friendship and contacts with Labour with the aid of her politics.
Apparently, she was tutored at the University of Malta for a thesis on planning law by Robert Musumeci himself. Robert Musumeci is not a neutral “consultant” or simply a Labour Party supporter. He is the corrupt consultant of Joseph Muscat who, with his legal reforms, paved the way for a Jungle Rules system in Malta’s construction development. Robert Musumeci’s reforms led to Malta becoming buried in horrible and sprawling building sites all over the place including several deaths in construction sites. He himself even benefited from the laws he had written. and clients make use of him for his extensive contacts in the government and public institutions and authorities and the preferential treatment given to him.
Robert Musumeci is a fixture of Joseph Muscat’s clique of rent-seekers that ruined the country and an active supporter and collaborator of this government in all things that are corrupt or related to planning and the construction industry. As a prospective PN MP, choosing him to be your tutor is a very conscientious decision that you are building a friendly relationship with someone whom you are opposing and fighting against politically. It’s not an academic decision.
