Russian colonel Igor Salikov escapes to the Netherlands and offers the ICC to testify on Russian war crimes

A Russian colonel who claims to have fought in Ukraine, Syria, and Africa has fled to the Netherlands and offered to testify on Russian war crimes to the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Igor Salikov is a colonel who claims to have fought both in the Russian Army and the Wagner Group and fled to Cyprus before arriving in the Netherlands with his family. His family members seem to have published his story on Telegram.

There were various cases of Russian soldiers fleeing to Europe, and this is the second Russian who claims to intend to testify about Russian war crimes. A former Russian soldier named Pavel Filatiev, who fled to France and was granted refugee status, has thus far reneged on his promise to testify about Russian war crimes.
