Here’s someone else in politics who got paid by Johann Schembri of Dragonara as soon as he exited politics

Joseph Muscat was not the only one who received payments from Johann Schembri‘s companies after the Dragonara resort in Saint Julians, Paceville, received a hefty discount on an extended lease of public land. The Nationalist Party had remained silent back then on this lease extension, and only Jason Azzopardi had voiced his concerns, so it may explain why one of Adrian Delia’s closest aides, Pierre Portelli, went to work for Johann Schembri of Dragonara after he exited politics.

That’s very strange because Pierre Portelli, who was PN’s media director under Adrian Delia’s leadership, has no experience in the gaming industry so taking on such a senior role as the Chief Communications Officer of one of Malta’s major gaming companies seems more like a token gift than an actual job. In fact, Pierre Portelli didn’t remain very long in his role at Pinnacle Gaming Group.

Perhaps a journalist should inquire about the Dragonara lease extension from Adrian Delia before allowing him to virtue-signal by discussing Joseph Muscat’s hospitals’ fraud.
