Why the IDF can’t be trusted on its statements about Wael al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya

On the killing of journalists Wael al-Dahouh and Mustafa Thuraya in Gaza the IDF has released a statement saying that Wael al-Dahdough and Mustafa Thuraya were Hamas operatives who were aiding and abetting Hamas in the area with a drone that provided them with intelligence. The IDF is also claiming that Wael al-Dahdouh was a member of a Hamas military unit and has released a list of Hamas military members with Wael al-Dahdouh’s claim.

The IDF’s claims have not yet been verified, but the IDF can’t expect to be taken seriously after massacring thousands of children and scores of journalists indiscriminately. Maybe, the point where one could start believing the IDF about its massacre of journalists is when they release an apology to the family of journalist Issam Abdallah and to Christina Sassi with adequate compensation for them after deliberately targeting and hitting the journalists with a shell. Surely, they couldn’t have been members of Hamas.
