Taking over a leading role at the Malta Premier League has worked wonders for the disgraced ex-premier Joseph Muscat, so much so that his reforms in Maltese Maltese football are being promoted by the Nationalist Party’s television channel, NET TV.
At this stage, the Nationalist Party can even opt to renounce its role altogether as Opposition and relieve itself from any conflicts in its conscience. The situation reminds me of dictatorships that have more than one political party in parliament just to pretend that the political system is multi-party and democratic.
