Lovin Malta asked Nationalist Party MPs who they prefer between Trump and Biden. This is a very legitimate question in any political scenario in the world because it reflects a preference not just for ideology, but also a preference between constitutional democracy or an illiberal and authoritarian government that operates with a total disregard for the rule of law: a dictatorship. Trump has also just been convicted and found guilty of rape and commercial fraud.
A political preference for Trump is also a preference for the far-right. This is obvious to anyone who can read the situation and it is not just an ideological dispute about taxes and regulation. So, it comes as n surprise that Alex Borg, Adrian Delia’s new sidekick, has a preference for Trump. He is joined by Ivan Castillo, a relatively unknown PN MP. Joining them from Labour is Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri who argued with a smile that Ukrainian capitulation to Russia, rape, election fraud, and storming the House of Representatives are “spicy”.
Opposition Leader Bernard Grech chose Biden and his answer was shared by Julie Zahra, Eve Borg Bonnello, Graham Bencini, and Chris Said.
Alison Zerafa Civelli gave a typical ass-like answer because she can’t come up with a political opinion unless it contains an ingratiating reference to her brother-in-law.
Note, that I could not recognise one of the female PN MPs who answered with Biden, and/or if she is an MP at all, your help is as always appreciated.
