The European Union Prize for Literature has deliberately broken its rule by allowing the National Book Council to conduct the adjudication of its Maltese prize.
The National Book Council is not an independent organisation: its head is appointed by the Minister, and in the current case, the head is a political appointee appointed by the Prime Minister specifically to distort the local industry in favour of the Labour Party.
Are the EUPL out of their mind?
