I’m very glad that people are finally realising what a complete criminal fraud this person, Simon Mercieca, is. And for those academics who claim he is just an exception at the University of Malta, he is not. He has become a prime example of what the Faculty of Arts under Dominic Fenech has turned into: a nest for the incompetent, the criminal, and the frauds who successfully build an academic career through selective and politically aligned networking.
The man pretends to be a historian, but in the name of fraud, smear campaigns, and lies, he can’t even distinguish between one Church tribunal and another. As of lately, he has also been slapped with a libel suit by, LGBT activist Silvan Agius.
Apart from having been paid by the Fenech family to write and advocate for Yorgen Fenech, Simon Mercieca is willingly and consciously conducting a smear campaign against the family of Daphne Caruana Galizia. His corrupt and fraudulent antics give him a sorry excuse for a “blog”, which he desperately tries to fill by looking for content on my website that he then proceeds to recycle into his own.
The man is also most probably gay, sexless, and deeply desperate, being obsessed with women, gay, and transgender people as he writes about their issues disparagingly on a regular basis. Normal men and women don’t think about these things at all, but he does and he is obsessed, always thinking about what gay and transgender people should do and whatnot, apart from having a visceral hatred towards women (he also has a daughter). His blog is the pinnacle of Maltese boomer cringe, but the problem is that he is also an associate and an ally of organised criminals.
