Papaya gets a promotional award despite being investigated for its Russian links

Perhaps the lesson here is to never forget to read the news. On the day following that the Times of Malta revealed that Papaya is being investigated by the authorities over its links to a Russian organised criminal, the company was rewarded a promotiona award by a Maltese media and advertising company. The sales department of the Times also seem to have ignored this fact, given that they even accepted an advert from them to promote the award.

The company  was also previously fined by the FIAU and its American director was sanctioned over his links to Russian sanctioned individuals. Now, surprisingly the company is also promoting a service where Binance users can convert their crypto holdings into Euros, a feature that is currently being duisallowed in many European countries and by many European banks and financial institutions as Binance’s founder awaits trial in the US for aggravated money laundering.
