It’s incredible how foolish and naive people like myself were back in 2013 when we were made to watch scenes like these that were too obvious as a sign of things to come.

In a scene worthy of Gotham City, one of the first actions by the newly appointed Home Affairs Minister Emmanuel Mallia in 2013 was to go to Kordin and announce to prisoners in the prison’s courtyard that the government was granting them an amnesty. Today, Emmanuel Mallia is the High Commissioner of Malta to the United Kingdom.

    I admittedly was one of those fools who believed in Joseph Muscat in 2013. How terribly wrong I was. Never again mind you.

    I was one of those delegates who supported and militated for JM because like many sincere labour supporters I believed in him and his promises. Like many I was too eager to see Labour in Government to notice that our party was being overrun by Nazz turncoats and opportunists of all shapes and sizes under the so called movement banner. The likes of Mallia and Deborah Schembri never militated or were actively engaged within the Malta Labour party. Nor the likes of castaldi paris, bonello, engerer or musumeci. Yet the euphoria of the 2013 electoral victory rendered us malleable. JM is th greatest political conman Malta has ever had the misfortune to experience.

    Mallia besides did that prison show, Infront of the prisoners foundation who were invited under false pretences, not for the show. These ended up with shouts of viva il-lejber. Later Mallia went to organise the coup d’etate where he took over, army, police, public media( xandir Malta). The three entries that any dictator wants first in a coup.

    The writing was on the wall as early as a few days after the 2013 election when it was announced that Malta will be doing business with Azerbaijan ? one of the world renowned corrupt and criminal regimes, then allabierek the delegation gets split up and the journalist jaharsa flown to France and by the time they arrived in Azerbaijan, all was signed and sealed with no witnesses. This alone should have been as it was to me a warning of what was to come. But as too many are happy with pocket money whilst a few become multi millionaires, people put pocket money over honour and patriotism. Unfortunately the opposition don’t help as they are always sitting on the fence and toothless..
