What’s particularly interesting about Robert Abela and the Labour Party as of lately is the speed by which Robert Abela had to change fundamental positions of his government, but namely his relastionsiop with Joseph Muscat. From making a Devil’s Pact to protect him and preserve the Labour Party’s unity, Robert Abela has ended up clashing head to head with Joseph Muscat and even refused to protect members of his faction and allies such as Rosianne Cutajar.
As I wrote many times over and over again, a criminal organisation eventually ends up eating itself. What’s so funny about this, is that Robert Abela has chosen to pick up a fight with Joseph Muscat in the Labour Party when Robert Abela is at his weakest and after he purged all his critics and most of Joseph Muscat’s enemies from the Labour Party. How ironic. In order to consolidate his absolute power, Robert Abela chose to purge his critics from the Party. When eventually he ended breaking up with Muscat, Robert Abela was alone with few or no one to back him up, given that most of Muscat’s enemies had already been forced out by Robert Abela himself.
