This year’s Supreme Leader’s 1st of May speech was a rehash of last year’s speech: just another fascist diatribe along with the bragging of Supreme Leader’s and Labour’s benevolence in saving the people by distributing subsidies. 1st of May has become a reminder that if we don’t pledge our loyalty to Supreme Leader, we’ll be denounced as traitors that are destabilising the nation. At least that’s what Robert Abela said: “I won’t let anyone destablise the country”.
The very fact that he is Prime Minister, having risen from the lower-ebbs of criminality as a literal criminal lawyer of Malta most famous cocaine dealers to become Prime Minister to cover up for an organised criminal group is a destabilising factor itself, not to mention our international reputation. Our country is governed by a criminal cult whose supposedly socialist leader that gives May Day speeches, spends a month during Summer cruising the Mediterranean Sea on his yacht. You couldn’t even make this stuff up. Yet, it’s so real, it feels like a film by Paolo Sorrentino.
If it was up to him, Robert Abela rules Malta as a dictatorship. Imagine for a moment that Repubblika never demanded a Magisterial inquiry over Joseph Muscat’s public hospitals fraud. Or that Rosianne Cutajar is still with the Labour Party’s Parliamentary Group, maybe, even as a government minister. Joseph Muscat is still free and is welcomed back within Labour to contest the European Parliament elections. Imagine if there was no Mr Ranger and there was absolutely no consequence whatsoever for those who committed corrupt acts during Joseph Muscat’s administrations.
