Joseph Muscat will be charged in court without having been interrogated

For the upcoming court case on the corrupt government deals with Vitals and Steward, Joseph Muscat will be charged in court without having been interrogated. This is just one of the many anomalies and exceptions that Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa has created in Joseph Muscat’s case. It’s highly irregular to say the least that a man who is being charged in court of having laundered โ‚ฌ30 million will not be arrested and has not even been interrogated.

There are other anomalies and mistakes being made by the Attorney-General and the Police Commissioner in the course of the processing of the Magisterial Inquiry, and consistent anomalies may shown a clearly-intended aim to sabotage the prosecution of the case by design.

Hasn’t anyone in Labour got wind of how foolish, laughable the establishment excuse is? Wherever I go I hear people ridiculing the establishment clips, others saying that the prime minister is simply not fit for purpose. And all think that the magistrate did a brilliant job. People want justice. Now. Oh and by the way, are the students reading for a degree in law also part of the establishment? Maybe the former chief justice? Once Labour-leaning columnists too? Is it possible we’re all the establishment? Labour supporters, get a grip and disassociate yourselves. You don’t need to be embarrassed by this lot.

Oh and eagerly waiting for more funny clips. Incidentally I mentioned how Id love to see Leonard Nimoy (bless his soul) host a special edition of In Search Of…The Establishment. At least the edition poster…

It is unusual. However you could factor in the fact that JM was interrogated already some months ago with his lawyer Pawlu Lia assisting. Apart from this, he seems quite happy running his defence on the social/trad media. He also has the fine efforts of the recent press conference of his former lawyer.

I have been saying that they will walk out scot-free due to some technicality for ages. However, I expect the persons responsible for the “mistakes” to resign and remain unemployed for the rest of their lives.

    1. I agree and for this reason the AG herself, Victoria Buttigieg should prosecute.

There is no legal obligation to interrogate, although if you do interrogate then you have the right to a lawyer. The disclosure of evidence can also be done after the person is charged during the kumpilazzjoni.

While I hate to write this I fear that we are experiencing a historical series of well choregraphed theatrics and drama. Although a lot of shit will continue to surface and hit a hundred fans, none of the accused will face any jail term. Moreover the opposition is a nonstarter. The PN have been crippled beyond any repair or hope. They should be mobilising and applying continous pressure on the Government, as those involved should be made to resign until their innocence is proven or otherwise. If it was not for the NGOs and the media, the Government and JM would walk-over this case. Jean Paul Sofia’s parents were much more effective and efficient in their struggle for justice against the government. However this episode is going to cost Labour heavily as their aura of invicibilty has already been shredded. According to the last MT survey the difference between the two parties stands at 17,000 votes for the coming MEP elections. Considering Labour has no real and solid opposition this is a big loss for Labour.

  7. […] the consequence of not arresting Joseph Muscat is that he can still travel abroad, and he can even do so by using his irregularly held Maltese […]

If you want to be a good journalist don’t just report the labour party accusation
Just go after all who’s wrong PL and PN
    Don’t do DCG footsteps
Or the pn never done any wrong doing ??
