Ram Tumuluri is the infamous Canadian serial fraudster who was first outed to us the Maltese by Daphne Caruana Galizia. He brokered the Vitals deal between Joseph Muscat and the Vitals Global Healthcare whose ownership structure was shrouded in secrecy and was then bought by Steward Healthcare. He has been issued with an assets freezing order and is expected to appear in Court in Malta over-money laundering charges.
The court citation document shows that Ram Tumuluri lives in Malta, more specifically, in 42, Triq ix-Xatt, Ta’ Xbiex.
That’s very strange, because the property of the address looks like it is currently the Ta’ Xbiex office of Quicklets.
Surely, Ram Tumuluri is not in Malta because he is not so stupid to wait to get indicted for money-laundering, is he? In fact we knew that he was in the United States recently begging the US authorities for whistleblower protection. I suppose that his recent fraudulent scheme in the United States didn’t work out, because other media reports have recently reported that he was arrested in Dubai over some bounced cheques.
So, the question begs, where is Ram Tumuluri? I asked this question to his lawyer in the US, Andrew P. Bakaj who didn’t reply although I am sure I had his attention. I’ve also posed the question to our very own Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa, and although the app marked that he actually read the message (he switched off notifications), he also didn’t reply. Maybe, he was still busy pontificating about the virtues of public service or disservice.
As of now, it is not clear where’s Ram Tumuluri. He may still be holed up in Dubai or he may be somewhere else. In any case, the Police should have already sent him the court notification to appear in court, but of course, we know very well he is not going to take his time and money to fly to Malta to appear to court on serious charges of fraud and money-laundering. Unless he doesn’t appear in court in Malta, the Police would be have to issue an arrest warrant for him.
Meanwhile, Ram Tumuluri is also busy filing bogus copyright claims with Google over articles published about him. The fraud with this guy never stops.
