CONFIRMED: No travel ban, no bail conditions because they were not arraigned under arrest

CONFIRMED: The prosecutor’s request to impose a travel ban on the suspects was rejected. Given that the suspects were not arraigned under arrest, no bail or travel conditions were imposed. However, suspects were warned that they had to be present at the set-date of their trial.

UPDATED: There seems to be some confusion on the travel orders. Will update tomorrow.

The court proceedings of today are still ongoing and Magistrate Rachel Montebello has just decreed that in order for Joseph Muscat and the other suspects to travel abroad, have to first ask for permission in advance. I’m also informed that Joseph Muscat has cancelled his plans to travel to Turkey tonight.

Those supporter’s are essentially what the media was all on about today. And that?s exact where JM wants his court case to take place. In the media.
