Xi Jinping appoints hawkish propagandist Hua Chunying as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs

In what seems to be a pro-war move by China, Xi Jinping has appointed a hawkish and pro-war propagandist working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Vice-Minister for Foreign affairs. Hua Chunying has no ambassadorial experience but has a long track-record of promoting hawkish and pro-war positions online and on Twitter where she has up to 2.4 million followers. She has been accused on Twitter by several Mandarin-speaking Chinese specialists of having children and also a real-estate portfolio in the US, however I could not confirm this.

China is currently threatening Taiwan with grey-zone tactics as Xi Jinping insists that Taiwan will eventually become part of China.
