I haven’t called Jason Azzopardi yet, but I can confirm this story because I know it from elsewhere. I wasn’t going to write about it soon, as I am saving it for my next book. However, I’m happy to make some clarifications since this story has been all over the place.
Robert Abela made a cash transfer of ย100,000 to Ian Castaldi Paris from his BOV account. This is just preliminary information and I don’t know why they are saying Robert Abela gave ย100,000 in banknotes to Ian Castaldi Paris. Probably, it was picked up in the wrong way because “cash” in technical terms simply means fiat money and not actual banknotes.
Anyway.
Jason Azzopardi knows about this story because Robert Abela is currently being investigated for money laundering. How it all began, you may know in my next book, but you can start guessing.
