The Nationalist champion against corruption, Adrian Delia is currently defending two suspected individuals from Qala FC for having attempted to fix a match with Nadur. This story has a political background to it, given that Nationalist MP Chris Said is the President of Nadur Youngsters FC while Clint Camilleri, Minister of Gozo is tied to Qala FC with his driver, Noel Mizzi being the President of Qala Saints FC.
Adrian Delia, as a Nationalist MP could have addressed the case as part of a political campaign to clean football from corruption, instead he is defending the suspects. In terms of football politics, Adrian Delia is fighting his colleague and fellow Nationalist MP, Chris Said, while backing the horse of Clint Camilleri.
Originally, Daphne Caruana Galizia accused Adrian Delia of entering politics and clinching the PN leadership nomination to find new ways to pay his mammoth debts. Apparently, he is doing well with his mission given that he is focused on a full-time basis making money out of every issue he stumbles upon.
