Later on this year, the MONEYVAL Committee of the Council of Europe is to recommend the Maltese government a set of measures reforms on anti-money laundering. The MONEYVAL Committee supervises member states of the COE on anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing measures.
The committed is set to flag some serious shortcomings on Malta’s current regime, especially with regards to legal impunity and the latest anti-money laundering reforms.
