Any statements made by the National Book Council are not made in our name

In response to a current survey being circulated by the National Book Council to local publishers, we would like to state that we are not part of any survey or discussions with either the National Book Council or the Ministry of Education.

As things stand today, the National Book Council does not represent the book industry and any statement it makes is not made in our name. We do not condone or support any statements made by the National Book Council on behalf of the book industry.

The current executive chairman, appointed as a cruel joke for bearing my same name and surname, is unfit for purpose and after having insulted publishers, and authors, in public and private, and brought endless wreckage to the industry with his actions, any way forward for the industry will first require his immediate resignation.

In conclusion, we would like to remark that for three years, the government has used the book industry as its own political fiefdom, resulting in horrible mismanagement and vile acts of political vengeance. We are confident that all the economic damages caused to us, intentionally and willingly by the National Book Council and the Ministry of Education in coordination with their propagandists, will be fairly addressed by current and future Court cases.
