Former classmates of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the Republican-registered voter who shot Donald Trump, describe him as conservative.
The Philadelphia Inquirer spoke to his former classmates who had this to say about him:
He definitely was conservative. It makes me wonder why he would carry out an assassination attempt on the conservative candidate…The majority of the class were on the liberal side, but Tom, no matter what, always stood his ground on the conservative side.
His parents have not made any comments to the press. Thomas M. Crooks used his father’s legally purchased rifle to commit the assassination attempt.
