The only local public authority in Malta that is doing deep financial investigations as it investigates money-flows is the FIAU. Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa was very dishonest when he said that he is conducting similar investigations because it’s the FIAU which is actually conducting these kind of investigations and not the Police or the Financial Crimes Investigations Department.
The interviewer didn’t press Gafa hard on this subject, but if I was interviwing him, I would have asked Gafa why the police failed to act and investigate multiple investigations and cases drawn up by the FIAU. Many of these cases have detailed intelligence and money-flow details that also indicate clear fraud and potential illegalities. Angelo Gafa did nothing over these multiple reports.
One of these very detailed reports that the police have from the FIAU is of Delsk, and everything that I have published on this website was already in the hands of the police for a considerable amount of time. They did nothing with the intelligence because it incriminates Joseph Muscat.
