Robert Abela’s premiership is secured as his only challenger is indicted over Vitals and Steward

As Chris Fearne is indicted over the Vitals and Steward fraud, Supreme Leader Robert Abela is clear from any contender challenging his premiership inside the Labour Party parliamentary group. Chris Fearne’s resignation as Labour Party Deputy-Leader will also temporally strengthen and consolidate Robert Abela’s power.

For now, it’s all over for Chris Fearne’s political ambitions and this does not bode well for a Labour Party that is desperately craving for leadership. Now, with Chris Fearne indicted in Court, Robert Abela has no political authority that is directly challenging him in the parliamentary group.

    obsessed with Fearne is one thing, knowing what happened, what could happen and keep pushing for Fearne to fix this mess is another. He who missed his chance to rip through Muscat’s cabal during the November-December 2019 saga in order to have his chance at being elected Prime Minister for his own satisfaction, has no place to come after these years still defending Stewards and proclaiming his innocence. no matter how much he cries about frameups and devil pacts.
