Prostitution rings and Identity Malta

The story about the Colombian prostitution ring brought by Identity Malta fixer, Bernard Attard, may seem to be a side-story to a wider racket, but it is a very important story on its own which has its own history.

With the advent of Identity Malta and the Best of Times, illegal prostitution rings also flourished, but they first flourished via trafficked African women from Italy, before the Colombians were deemed to be a more reliable option. Establishments in Paceville regularly made use of these women as well, but the Colombians came with their own pimps. Then there were the Asians who were imported for the massage parlous along with a smaller number of Latin American women.

Many of these women were brought here on fraudulent pretenses, some even with fake passports enabling them to obtain fake identities from Identity Malta. Meanwhile, on a government-level, the theatre goes on.
