The United States, Canada and India have all issued travel warnings for their citizens against traveling to Libya. The travel notices have been released upon reports that war in Libya may be imminent.
Earlier this month, the Government of National Unity began a military push in the South and the West to retake territories and oil fields controlled by the break-away government of Benghazi (Libyan National Army) that is supported by Russia and led by Khalifa Haftar.
The LNA is captured the Al-Wafa Oilfield in the West from the GNU and are now fighting against the GNU in the South of Libya in Ghadames. Turkey and Egypt are appealing to the Libyan authorities to hold national parliamentary elections.
In an unrelated situation, Tuareg rebels in the South of Libya are vowing to help their Tuareg members in Malia fighting the Wagner Group in Mali following an ambush against the Wagner Group by the Azawad Tuareg group in Mali. In addition, lately, Tuareg militia members in Libya have been making online threats to the Russian Wagner group claiming they are ready to fight and destroy them.
The Libyan National Oil Corporation is also ceasing many of its operations as it declares Force Majeure.
