Ministry of Education fumbles teachers’ payments following agreement

The Ministry of Education has fumbled its payments following the agreement it signed with the Malta Union of Teachers. Teachers have complained that they only received part of the agreed-upon allowances, while others have said they didn’t receive any of the allowances at all.

Teachers were meant to be given a one-time payment of €1000 along with other-time allowances. The Ministry even announced the payments in a Facebook post. The agreement between the Ministry of Education and the Malta Union of Teachers was signed last month.
