Enclosures in public land are a regular occurrence in the Maltese countryside and have increased during the Labour administrations with case in point being Delimara and Saint Thomas Bay.
A new enclosure has been recently erected for a pathway in Mta?leb to the direction of the cliffs towards Im?arr. The Mta?leb still has some pristine natural areas in the area although it has been heavily agriculturalised throughout the centuries. Until this day many issues in the area remain with demarcations and land titles, with many land owners in the area with ongoing court cases with the government or other private parties.
