I’m not a big fan of Mehdi Hasan, but if you follow China, this interview is a must. It’s one of the most hard-hitting and difficult interviews I have watched for a long time. Mehdi Hasan is seriously on fire here leaving his interviewee with no chance at all to avoid questions and speak nonsense. The interviewee is Victor Gao, a lawyer and previous consultant to Deng Xiaoping.
Victor Gao is confronted by Chinese Uyghurs about their detained family members and Viktor Gao replies in a shockingly psychopathic manner. Mehdi Hasan clearly makes him aware of his total disregard to other people’s feelings and thoughts and doesn’t let his interviewee go unchallenged.
