More posturing by Rebecca Buttigieg

Minister for Posturing Rebecca Buttigieg has given a press conference in which she pronounced her disagreement with the Broadcasting Authority’s decision to give airtime to Norman Lowell on the RTK radio station.

She’s already two years in as a Junior Minister and she still doesn’t comprehend the fact that she is in government, and that instead of posturing and virtue-signaling, she should govern accordingly.

They don’t know how to govern and take action unless it’s to protect criminals like Joseph Muscat. Everything else can wait into a limbo of posturing and nice vocabulary.

  1. I am certain that if NL was to contest the GE he would garner more first count votes than she did during the last General Elections. In the meantime she should focus on what that imbecile Manuel Cuschieri is always ranting about as he continously bashes and lashes out at past and present Nazz politicians. If his discourse is not classified as hate speech than I do not know what can be classified as hate speech. His discourse is even worse because his audience is mainly composed of senile vulnerable people. Some of whom are still stuck in a time warp back in the 60s and 70s.
The greatest threat to democracy and rule of law in Malta does not involve hate speech or people like NL, but the recent affront to the law courts and justice where the PA sanctioned Portelli’s illegal building despite these being declared illegal by the Maltese law court. This has set a very bad dangerous precedent because If government appointed members of a board can ignore and over-rule a court decision does this mean (god forbid) that common citizens or groups can do the same?
Mark perhaps you can shed more light on such situation and the legal/civil implications because this is a very dangerous precedent for the democratic rule of law.
