The Greek owned MV Sounion that was blown up the Houthi terrorists earlier this week was carrying one million barrels of oil. The ship also refused European naval escorts because it regularly broke sanctions and sold Russian oil.
The ship was hit by rockets and gunfire earlier this week before its crew members, mostly Filipinos were rescued by an EU naval mission. The Houthis then blew up the ship whilst it was still out at sea.
