The Malta Tourism Authority is sponsoring a concert at ?aqnu’s Montekristo Estates

Charles Polidano (?aqnu), who currently has trouble with the tax department, is hosting a government-sponsored event at his Montekristo Estates. The event is sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority.

I wonder what touristic value this event provides to the economy. The Malta Tourism Authority is Labour’s honey-pot to dish-out funds to its friends and allies. Millions of Euros of our hard-earned money has been burnt to appease a host of people and now we are also helping ?aqnu pay his tax bills.

    1. Didn’t know this. Would like to learn more.

      1. Ivan Gaffiero, organiser of a million and one fashion shows, and if i am not mistaken, former Kunsillier for Naxxar – who often times cannot put together a proper sentence in Maltese or English is chummy chummy with Clayton Bartolo and his wife. No wonder he thanks the Malta Tourism Authority for funding his stupid montekristo event!

  2. You know it’s going to be a total chav-fest when Ivan Gaffiero’s is included.

  3. One cannot help but remember that the recently deceased artist Mark Mallia was once imprisoned for failing to file VAT returns. I’m sure his dues were just a fraction of i?-?aqnu’s. And here we are hoping that the law in Malta is blind enough for corrupt politicians to one day face justice.

On another note, I never knew (or had forgotten) that La Barokka sings. I am both intrigued and horrified by the prospect. For all I know, she has a beautiful voice, but her presentations on television are so mawkish that I cannot imagine her staging an enjoyable evening show. She probably has a depressing personality and will likely perform a concert that will match that. I don’t know what kind of person would willingly submit to that, but it sounds like torture.

Music tastes aside, should employees of Television Malta be assisting tax dodgers in their endeavours?
