Turkey wants to set up a ballistic missile base in Somalia (also space rockets)

Turkey has announced it will be setting up a base in Somalia from where it could fire ballistic missiles and begin a space programme.

Turkey already has a military base in Mogadishu that serves as a military and defense university. It was opened in 2017. Currently, there are around 300 Turkish officers in Somalia.

The Somalian government has so far not commented about this development.
